The Story of
Deichman Expeditions
Message from the Founder
Deichman Expeditions offers exclusive yachting experiences along the Norwegian coastline aboard a classic steel sailing yacht, where timeless elegance meets modern comfort and uncompromising safety. Each voyage is carefully curated yet guided by the elements, allowing the wind, the light, and the rhythm of the sea to shape a truly bespoke journey. From remote islands and dramatic open waters to refined coastal towns, we offer a rare perspective of Norway — far removed from conventional travel.
On board, life unfolds in an atmosphere of understated luxury. With a limited number of guests, every detail is considered to ensure privacy, comfort, and authenticity. This is not simply a voyage, but an experience of presence — where craftsmanship, seamanship, and the quiet power of nature define every moment.
Deichman Expeditions is founded by the entrepreneur Joachim Bekkevold Hansen, who is also the founder of Strømsøboat, a Norwegian boat manufacturer. (www.stromsoboat.no). Driven by a lifelong passion for the ocean and maritime life, we built this ventures around the sea — combining innovation with deep practical experience. Through Deichman Expeditions, we bring this vision to life, creating something truly distinctive: a yachting experience where expertise, authenticity, and a profound respect for the sea come together to offer guests something genuinely exceptional.
